MONTE SNYDER ATTORNEY'S PROFILE
Monte was born in Union City, Indiana, and I've lived in the Miami Valley my entire life, twenty-three years in the Dayton, Ohio area before moving to Middletown, Ohio. I am licensed to practice law in all Ohio courts and agencies as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio since 1985, & have practiced law continuously ever since, both as owner/operator of my own offices & as managing and/or associate attorney in several law firms. As an Arbitrator for the Dayton Better Business Bureau, I've decided dozens of auto lemon law disputes for all the major auto manufacturing brands, along with local merchant disputes, issuing binding written decisions since 2000.
I attended Morehead State University in Kentucky where I received my bachelor's degree, graduating with high distinction in 1972, majoring in history. While at MSU I was a member of the Blue Key National Honor Fraternity and Phi Alpha Theta Honor Society in history. I returned to school at the University of Dayton School of Law, graduating in 1984 with a Juris Doctor degree. I'm a member of the Ohio State Bar Association.
The cover photo at the top of the page is Morehead State University, Morehead, Kentucky. To me it symbolizes hope and renewal, and is the theme for my website and my fervent wish for all my visitors. Morehead is my favorite Alma Mater.
My first thoughts about law began while an undergraduate at Morehead State University. My background is broad. I grew up on a farm in Darke County, & worked in manufacturing & food service for several years before entering law school at the University of Dayton.
My favorite recreation is motorcycle touring. I also love to read and study history. Bible study is a favorite of mine. I have worked with special needs children for over 30 years within the legal setting, and in juvenile and domestic relations courts involving child custody disputes. I like people and know and understand their problems, as you can tell from the areas in which I practice. You will find me a good listener. My clients are actively involved in their cases, so be prepared to do some work. Please visit my Blog for tips on choosing an attorney, an insight on how I practice law, my civil law practice, and other legal news you can use.
